Just turn up and head towards the back of the car park. Park your motor and introduce yourself to anyone drooling over their or someone elses car. Some of the guys have T-shirts with Essex region and their names on them although if its cold you may not be able to see those outside but you will when we move inside.
I did just the same last year and everyone is very approachable and friendly.
I am hoping to make it next week as have missed quite a few.... Look for car in my Avatar with the Reg "C2S ....." - Just turned 30 - told I look younger.... if that helps to identify me.????

It's the one with the broken nearside front fog light. [
Do come along Les. We are a great and friendly bunch though it can seem a bit strange at times as, with many people knowing so many, there is a possible tendancy for people to shoot the breeze with those they know and miss out on chatting to new faces.
I am a shy 40+, so don't talk to any body.
The monthly meets are great fun, and as the evenings get longer, we get to do more tyre kicking. I the depths of winter our RO gets in all sorts of people to address us on Porsche related subjects so still great fun.
The real entertainment starts when we start doing other gatherings, convoys, Champers'n'chips and the like so do come along.
and Shy
Yes......this is just a facade to hide my inner torment.

Didn't have time to clean the car at the weekend.... and it is not as shiny as usual with mud down the sides. Anyway I'm going to have to clean her under the flood light at 2000hrs tonight in the cold [

Do we have any guests tomorrow ?
I think it's some chap doing a talk on how to repair fog lamps
I wouldn't worry too much about washing the car Will, although I am giving my upgraded headlamps their first road test so I might be looking for something to illuminate.

I have no idea whatsoever how it works but I'm heading over for my first R11 meet as well. Look forward to meeting you all.

Took your advice John and left her all dirty........... ooh err[
John do we need to wear "CAR - NATIONS" so the newbies know who we are.....? You take pink and I'll have yellow. Second thoughts I'll just wear a cap to keep my head warm.[
Shall we tell Jerry and Les about the initiation now or later.....
[:-]
I always think it is very cruel in the winter any way.
I can't make up my mind wether to come in Beaky the Porsche or Fred the Freelander tonight. I think I might be better off in Beaky as I wouldn't want anyone to run into Fred.

OPC Colchester is a bit of a hike but I will make it if poss. Maybe do a convoy depending on where you live at least that way we will recognise each other! Course it depends on the location but I reckon the A12 is going to be a popular route!
