part number

Appears to be either 951 355 11303 or 951 355 913 00 whichare listed as ABS hydraulic control pump. Hope this helps.

Yes i found that out but it has a hole in it where the the pipe for the turbo goes but the one for the 944 non turbo has not !!!!

In my experience independant parts suppliers will supply the same part for both cars, only turbo/S2/968 owners will have to drill a hole to make it functional.

If one light sits lower than the other then loosen the two bolts that go vertically between the linkage into the chassis.

Move the lifter bar towards the front or rear of the car to get the bucket in line with the other one and then nip the bolts back up.

Should take 5 mins.

Can you identify he part from this

Not sure which bit you mean. If you are after parts then download a copy of PET appropriate for your car from here

http://www.porsche.com/uk/accessoriesandservice/classic/genuineparts/originalpartscatalogue/

then look in section 806 ("Concealing Headlamps") to identify the part. Phone your local Porsche centre tomorrow with the number and ask them.

So it's not this broken washer then because when I sit it properly its fine no adjustment is needed
But obviously when lights pop up and down its not sat there right

Try cycling the lights up and down and then adjusting whichever is too low with the method I described. If it works it's cost you nothing and if it hasn't then it's cost you nothing :)

If they both sit evenly low it is far more likely to be the limit switch on the motor or even the mountings or the motor.

If the lights rise a bit further before retracting it is the limit switch, if not look at the motor mountings. If its neither of those the motor spindle may be out by one spline.

Iv read this before and understand it fully but the washer gromit thingy what joins it all together Is broken which is letting the link bar rattle out of place resulting in a low light on one side
