Parking Surface at Silverstone Classic

HI

I received my ticket with Infield parking today but on my information sheet reference parking it looks like its not Infield parking its on the outside of the track.

Also in the information it don't say the kind of surface it is as it will be a waste of time me cleaning my white Cayman only for it to get dirty again.

Is anyone able to confirm what surface G13 is please ?

Many thanks for your help with this matter as I'm looking forward to this event as on the Tuesday before its my 50th & my trip to Silverstone is just as special because its the 911 50th too.

Hi Yes thats true but as I'm looking at the 981 Cayman instead & I have asked my dealership for the 991 50th brochure as my budget is not £100000 its £50000 & I'm planning to offer my Cayman S at Siverstone to see if I get any taker's. I have already requested the 50th Book on 911's as a gift from a very good friend so this will make do for now & you may know the 911 is not 50 till September as I'm 50 in July but it will still be a special event for me as it will be for other car marks. It will also be my first time at the Classic & if your going Dpoynton come & say hello as I see you have a mark one cayman too & have an intrust in the Macan too as I'm too & if I don't like it the Cayman 981 is my next option. Kevin, If it's the same parking area as last year it will be grass. Nothing to worry about though - even after last year's rain the surface was firm, so shouldn't be a problem if this heatwave persists. Have a good 50th and enjoy your first Classic. Jeff
 
Very dry weather brings it's own joys.....dust! Anyone who went to Goodwood last weekend will know exactly what I mean! Mike
 
I think that by "infield" they mean non-public. Although it is a different area from last year it appears to be on grass. I shall arrive with a clean car but fully expect it to be dusty by lunchtime, but this is preferable to rain and mud. Your white car will still look cleaner than my dark one!
 
Hi Thanks for the information reference the grass & it help me lay my mind at rest & I know what you mean about Goodwood Festival of Speed last weekend as I went with a friend who owns my old Cayenne Diesel which was also white & when we returned to it, it looked like an off cream Cayenne but it was covered in dust.
