Sometime later, I did eventually get one changed under extended Porsche warranty but only after the dealer was about to fail it on MOT due to light part full of water ! (though light still working)
PPF maybe worth a punt particularly if you are going to polish them first .

During a recent zoom call, three owners (including me) coincidentally reported problems with moisture in the offside rear light. The three cars are gen 1 facelift models. The failure mode seems to be the breaking of the horizontal bond/joint between the clear reversing light plastic and the red plastic lens above it allowing water into light cluster. It is noticeable by running your finger up the lens when you will feel an edge at the join and indeed you can see the red part flex relative to the clear if you gently press. Why it’s the offside affected is a mystery.

A new part is c £700 , secondhand runs the risk of the same issue. For those running extended warranties , it is not eligible for replacement until/unless a light fault occurs - the argument being there is no failure just cosmetic since the light is currently working (despite being possibly partly submerged in water) - the joys of insurance clauses !
One owner has attempted a repair with an acrylic ”superglue” cured with a uv light (supplied) but with mixed results. On the web I have also seen reference to possibly covering the entire lens with PPF film once dried out to effectively seal the outer face of the lens rather than try to just seal the join.
Anyone had any experience / success in sorting this ?

Hi Stephen,
Having just purchased my Panamera 4, it had a moisture/water filled rear offside and signs of early dampness on the rear nearside. Garage has agreed to replace both but the lights are circa 3-weeks back order. I'll update once I have them replaced. If possible, I'll try to get to keep the old ones as they might be fixable given your comments above.
