Hello all. I am new to the forum and this is my first time posting questions so I hope not to bore you and that you can help guide me.
I have just purchased a 2010 Panamera 4S with FSH and a genuine 70,000 miles. I have carried out a fault code read and get the code
"P1031 Fuel High Pressure Sensor Stuck at Start". I have no warning lights on the dash and the only symptom is that sometimes (maybe once out of 10 starts) the car cranks for some 3-4 seconds longer than normal. Twice in a month, I have got a restricted power message at start up, turned off the car and restart with no warning lights and the car drives normally. Driving the car rather quickly and under load, there is no hestation at all.
My question is, would you suggest that the Fuel pressure sensor should be replaced, or is this a pre warning and am I looking at needing a high pressure fuel pump in the near future? If it is a HPFP I need, any suggestions where would be best to buy?
My second question relates to the water pump housing where I have read one of the pipes is "glued in" and the glue can give up, the pipe comes out and all the coolant is dumped. Does anyone have experience of this or any advice? SHould I change it as a preventative measure or is it one of those issues that get more coverage than needed like the IMS bearing?
Any advice you can give will be very much appreciated.
Thank you
