Panamera '13 plate s Hybrid fault - require some advice please.

Hi All,

I'd like some advice on my Porsche Panamera '13 hybrid. It's only done 65k miles and well looked after. Had a isolation fault on the hybrid system and suspect water ingress into the hv battery area. Car drives perfect and charges to 12 miles as its always did while driving just doesn't plugin and charge and has the warning lights.

I've got a repair bill cost of £5k. Is it worth repairing or cut my losses? If I cut my losses how much would it be worth with stating this fault?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Raj - did you ever get this resolved? Or did you sell.....
Hi Matt, do you have a similar matter? I didn't sell and over 6 months later it resolved it's self. Totally un-expected and may have been due to warm consistent we had. I do think it was condensation rather than water pooled up in the battery. Cant be sure.

Hi Raj - I was diagnosed with a faulty HV battery which Porsche Hatfield largely remedied under warranty. There was a minor issue related to the battery which they couldn't address but no warning lights are showing to reflect this. I have heard that rain water can seep into car via the tailgate if left out for long periods of time - I suppose I am fortunate to able to garage the car every night so water ingress is less of an issue. Good to know your issue resolved itself; if you don't have access to a garage, my question is can this happen again come autumn and beyond?

As I use my car daily it's on the drive. I do think it's a poor design fault where the ingress is through the boot. Weather through the spoiler drain holes or the sunroof drains. I have gone through the drains and made sure they are all clean. I do when heavy rain get drips from the hatch trim up towards the parcel shelf. On the joins between the trim below the 3rd brake light and sides. This is odd as its higher up and shouldn't be the spoiler drain water ingress issue. I see wet on the corners of the parcel shelf where it's come down. Any idea as to why this would be?

No ideas at all unfortunately. Just that on the Panamera 970 Facebook forum many people have reported similar drainage issues via the tailgate. It is, as you say, a poor design.
