Owners' charging experience away from home?

Many of you will have seen the story in this weekend's Guardian about the Taycan owner who took nine hours to complete a 130 mile trip due to an inability to find a charger that worked. Just wondering how other owners have fared so far.
Personally I can see a compelling case for buying an EV (Porsche of course) at some point, but am having doubts that this is the time. Would it be fair to say that Porsche should be doing a lot more in order to get the charging infrastructure to the point where it's fit for purpose?

I don't have an EV but my daughter & husband do have a Jaguar I Pace ( which
replaced a Skoda V RS Octavia.( they also have a new BMW 330D M Sport which
she drives mainly so conventional back up available)
The Jag is largely used to commute down to Newcastle by our son in law where there is a fast charger at the hospital.
However with the attraction of cheap fuel they have started to use it for long journeys now they are more confident with it ,the associated App & how it generally performs. They also have a 7kw home charger & a 13 amp domestic lead kept in the car.
They came down to us in August -Formby approx 175 miles with one charge on the mainy M6 route-we are fortunate to have a fast charger on a nearby pub car park ( 150m away & fully charged in under 2 hrs from approx 45% with economic cost using the App)

They then went to London later in August & topped up twice at fast chargers on the M1 & there was a fast charger at Kensington hotel they booked ( very cheap).
Return trip with a1night stop to visit the Aircraft Museum ( a top up here)
& 2 top ups on the M1 home.
October half term they all went to a resort on Arran with 1 top up en route & I believe there was a fast charger at the place they stayed at- similar for the return & apparently our son in law was delighted that he had only had to pay once for a charge, the whole weeks holiday.
I think their confidence is growing with careful route planning- general range seems to be 245 miles.
