Nice to see you, Fen!
Are you planning a visit back here? We were only saying at the Ace that it's been a while...[&o]

Thanks chaps. I'm only here because I heard the Paul S finally knocked me off third spot in the posting league - seriously chaps I haven't posted for the best part of a year and your top man only just caught me!
Yes, we have loose plans for a trip back though we haven't booked anything yet. We'd like to see some of the Olympic events in Weymouth as it's close to where SWMBO is from so we're considering an early trip back for that. Seriously. What with the time difference the Ace falls during working hours on a Thursday for me now so it's not so practical any more [

The outlaws have just booked up to come over for 6 weeks and my Mother is deciding when to make the trip - our end of the deal as far as I'm concerned is to buy a big house so it's comfortable for the visitors when they arrive. When we arrived here in Feb the Bristol Owners Club (of the UK) were doing a New Zealand tour. It was weird seeing a car with a City of Westminster parking permit and a tax disc on the screen over here. Anyway we're waiting for the 944 equivalent, so get organising!

I'd like to change my Login (when I registered I missed the fact it was my Forum name) I thought it was just for forum access.
Tried to get round problem by re-registering but as I only have one email address I was stuffed - its already used.
So if you can change it as an admin function - or even delete it - that would be good and I'll become 944 LIL

Interesting choice of name, any particular story behind it or is it part of your registration like mine? [

when I finally get it back from the welders / mechanics / electrictians / paint shop
I will be delighted (nae DELIGHTED) to post a picture of LIL 3898 - I'll also just be pleased to drive the car - I bought it on ebay, unseen, for not a lot - I was on ebay to buy a DVD player - imagine the wife's suprise when I told I got it and "it" was a new (well 22 year old) car.
what is "the Ace"?
ps - the forum is fantastic - i've posted 3 questions had multiple answers and am loving being a 944 owner without actually having a car to play with.... (the sills are coming from the US apparently)

what is "the Ace"?
The Ace is the monthly meeting of the London Region at The Ace Cafe on the North Circular. It's on the last wednesday of the month so the next one is 24th September. Normally around half a dozen of the 944 Register make the trip
