Optical input to PCM

I have recently aquired my latest baby 997 cab. I have got sat nav and telephone with the standard sound system which I understand is a "MOST" system with optical inputs.

I have a portable MP3 player with optical in/out jacks. Can I link it to my car system. I have had a brief look in the DVD/amplifier region for leads for the optional CD changer (that I dont have).

Can anybody help.

Incidentally my phone works perfectly hands free with the roof down and at 80mph (only running in) . Seems some coupe owners have had problems.
