I have spent the last few weekends stripping cleaning and generally getting the engine bay in my car ready for painting.I have been very careful along the way to keep all the nuts and bolts, catches, brackets, fancy wee tie wrap things etc .
However today I looked over all the bits and thought. Where the heck does all this stuff go? I've got more lenghts of vaccum line and loom etc that I cant for the life of me remember where it all went.
Has anybody got a really good and clear diagram of the loom and vaccum system that I could follow.

There used be a story about the first time you strip and rebuild a Ferrari Engine. You lay out all the bits as you strip it, put it back together and fire it up and it runs fine, despite the fact there are still some loose bits still on the bench. Seems you ve had a Ferrari Engine Experience ?

I don't have any spare bits. Just loads of bits.I will just have to spend a long time with my head in the workshop manual .

I'd start by looking at the PET. The exploded diagrams of the various parts should give you a good start.

Good luck.

IIrc loom wise you can't plug anything in the wrong place as most of the connectors are different.

Lol, I've got an old toolbox with a selection of left-over parts from when I had to do my own servicing on Escorts and Cortinas, despite having no idea what I was doing. They all ran fine without the odd bolt or screw until I crashed them!

LOL Paul. I know what I am doing it's just looking a wee bit scary at the mo.I'm sure I'll not have any bits left over.

Colin, you can come and drop off those rear beam bushes and take some piccies of an S2 here and make some notes!
