Has anyone had to repair their window winder mechs? Mine on the ' 69 have worn at the central pivot, the alloy one which the spring attaches to.

Is it possible to get hold of replacements for this pivot/bush? Cant see it mentioned on any of the parts sites. Seems silly to fork out loads for a whole new mechanism when its only this pivot which has worn out!

I guess it would be possible to make a replacement if you knew your way around a lathe..
 
Yes my winder broke but it was the metal part the arm lucky I am a fitter by trade and welding it all up and it now works fine so no need to get a new one.

But as for the bushes do you know some one with a lathe I used to have one but found i very rarely used it and sold it.

Other than that look out in Germany for secondhand stuff or see Nick Moss as he is going to make 1 car out of 2 so he should have some left over at some stage
