After a very very heavy day of driving (if you are an OPC it wasn't a trackday honest), I was getting a small cloud on startup inbetween sessions, also I lost about 1 ltr of Mobil 1. So I took the car into my OPC for a check-up and they advised that the oil separator had gone and replaced it for me under warranty (thank god at it is a 570 quid job). After a very fast drive home at the weekend, when I put the ignition on I noticed that the oil gauge was showing that the oil was low (below the mark), so I did the double check with the dipstick and all was fine, but then on startup I got my smoke back. This is not the that 'normal for Porsches smoke' we are talking big time smoke, and it only happens when I take my fast A-road way home and not the police infested motorway.
My questions are:
1. Has anyone else experienced similar problems with the oil separator, and problems after fitment of a new one?
2. Has anyone else experienced the oil level indicator lying?
Thanks
James
