oil pressure relief valve alignment tool

Probably been asked before but i couldnt get the search function to work properly so i will ask again, sorry.
Do i need to get an oil pressure relief valve alignment tool in order to change the oil cooler transfer gaskets on a 1989 3l s2 engine as i have serious milkshake in the coolant and need to sort it out.

Some people say you can use the relief valve itself to line everything up. I think that there is a tool floating around on the forum that can be borrowed though.
