Off Road Wheel Tyre Advice

Thinking of doing some serious off-road work in 2008 Cayenne S with Air and PDCC. Can anyone advise if 17" rims with 265 or 285 / 70 / 17 will fit? Or do I need to go to 18" with 265 or 285 / 60 /18 ? Any advice very welcome. Currently sits on 21" Cayenne Sport Wheel and std Yokohama road tyres.
