Just a reminder about some events coming up:

Sunday 12th November – Classics at the Mill – Sports and Classic Cars & Coffee – St Catherine's Hospice, 9.00 to 13.00. If you want an excellent breakfast there you need to book directly with the Mill at www.themillatstcatherinespark.co.uk

We usually book breakfast for 9.00’ish to allow time to view all the cars. Take away is also available

Wednesday 15th November – Monthly Meeting – Porsche Centre Bolton
[*]Guest Speaker – Mike Newman – Speed of Sight. Mike has been blind since birth and holds the World Record for a blind person driving solo at 204 mph.[*]Bolton University will be bringing along a racing simulator and a competition will run for the fastest lap.[*]Wine Tasting by Howard Domney[*]A Chef from Ready Steady Cook will be doing a demonstration.[*]Montage of ‘Ferry the Duck’ photos will be shown with a short list to be agreed.[/LIST]Food is provided but I need final numbers attending by Monday 13th latest, together with any dietary requirements.

Mike Trotter – Regional Organiser Region 22 has invited us to its Christmas Lunch at Willowbeck Lodge on 3rd December
This year we will be returning to this beautiful exclusive venue for Porsche Club GB strictly limited to 45 sittings and will be on a first come, first served basis.

Arrive at 11am for mulled wine and to relax and chat to fellow members. To follow, a three-course meal will served at 12.30pm for which members need to be seated by 12 noon. Teas and coffee to finish.

For members wishing to stay at the beautiful five-star boutique hotel, there is a special rate for PCGB members by quoting your membership name and number and they will provide more information.

Mulled wine on arrival

Starters
Roasted red pepper and tomato soup with warm crusty bread
1/2 pint of prawns with Marie-Rose sauce and lemon
Leek and Gruyère tart with watercress and mustard dressing
Chicken liver pate, quince black wheat toast, pear chutney

Mains
Butter roast turkey, Christmas stuffing, pigs in blankets and traditional garnish
Roast beef, with Yorkshire pudding and traditional garnish
Vegetable Wellington, port sauce, roast potatoes, and seasonal vegetables

Desserts
White chocolate and mascarpone cheesecake miso caramel and hazelnut ice cream (gf)
Autumn berry crumble with clotted cream and honeycomb ice cream (gf)
Irish cream tiramisu
Chocolate torte with dark cherries in kirsch liquor and Madagascan vanilla ice cream

Booking and Payment
The price for the lunch is £42 per head.

If you would like to join us, please register your interest to attend here.

Payment is to be made to Mike Trotter (Sort Code: 40-16-22 Account: 81497693). Please make Reference Christmas Meal. The deadline for payment and menu choices is Monday 20th November.

If you have not followed the three booking steps Menu Choices - Booking and Payment your booking will not be valid.

R18 Photographic Competition – Sean Conboy has now chosen the winners for the 2024 Calendar which will be announced at our December monthly meeting. If you want a calendar please let me know ASAP as I will be placing the final order next week.

We have some other events coming up before January and I will be sending out details of these in the next few days.
