It seems that as soon as I entered the fold I am coming out of it again! But like last time, it is the modern that is to blame.
Anyway, time to get down to the details:
Around 5 years ago this car was owned by Andrew Sweetenaham of ProMax Motorsport when he acquired it at 150,000 miles with a full service history. During that time, he added a number of goodies including:
Engine: Bailey DV30 Dump valve and Wortec Exhaust with a switchable valve between loud and quite (around £1k on its own).
Suspension: KW Variant 3 Suspension which has been corner weighed and setup by ProMAX. It has poly bushes on the ARBs in addition to recently fitted 968 Castor Mounts, and 17" Cup 1 wheels in Anthracite with good Michelin Pilot tyres all round. This also has the 'Big Black' brake upgrade, which are 928 GTS callipers- They certainly look great under the wheels!
Body: In good shape overall with it having new sills and wings not too recently.
Interior: Leather interior with Sports seats.
Recently the car has had a refurbished head from EMC Motorsport, and in my ownership I have given it a minor service in addition to changing a couple of minor items (DME relay and door check strap).
As you can expect the car drives well. Very very well. It probably has to be one of the best cars I have driven in terms of handling. The way the car pulls is fantastic, and it is a thrill.
Are there any letdowns? It has a slight amount of rust at the rear of the rear arches (very superficial) in addition to the bolster of the driver's seat being slightly torn (I planned to fix this, although I have been using this car quite a bit in my ownership (I have covered 3,000 miles in 4 months, where previously it covered 7000 miles in two years)). Oh and the clock does not work.
Do not let the above deter you what is quite a sorted 951. What do I want for it? £6,500
. That includes an MOT until the end of January next year, and road tax until November.
Now for some Pics:
