Normal tyre wear?

I have owned my 07 S since spring 2013 and am now ready for new tyres

The car had an alignment check a couple of months before I purchased it ( I have the receipt) but the tyres have uneven wear, the fronts are bald on the insides and the rears also have more wear on the inside
The car handles great so I don't, feel the need for any specialist geometry set up.
Basically as a new owner I just wanted to know if the wear could be described as normal for a Cayman ,cheers.
 
Does not sound right to me - many posts about geo set up on the forum - including a certain company that gets the occasional positive recommendation[:D]- car may handle well but what is your benchmark? Inside of tyres should not wear that excessively IMO unless you have specified an extreme toe in which is not necessary for even a sporty road set up I would get the geo rechecked or you may get very premature wear on the new boots Good luck
 
I will get it checked out, the front wear seems excessive to me,but as I said I am no expert. As for a benchmark with regard to handling I have none, all I can say is in my 35 years of driving mediocre cars I couldn't have imagined just how good it feels behind the wheel of a cayman on a bendy b road[:)]
 
We have to pay attention to the fact that the sphericals in the steering are very small and prone to wear, that was the cause of excessive tyre wear on the inner fronts on my Gen 1 Cayman S and I had the alignment completely gone through and adjusted late last year, expensive for a mornings work but no more so than an OPC and the specialist company I felt did a better job. The rears seemed fine regarding tyre wear but the alignment and camber were all over the place. I'd reccomend that you get it checked[8|].
