Noob saying hello

Hi,

I'm Pete, I joined PCGB at Castle Hedingham, pleasantly helped by a nice young chap (they're mostly younger than me!) from Bury. I live in Fornham, am getting close enough to retirement from work to be going part-time in October and plan, by the end of the same month, to be smiling at and stroking the 911 I promised myself 40 years ago and in my case it's going to be a Cabrio, almost certainly a 996 and it's going to be an everyday car not a garage queen.

I hope to meet you guys around and about.

It was probably me that signed you up! Out in Stuttgart at the moment, primarily to see the 50 Jahre 911 exhibition.

Thank you JohnC for words of encouragement[] I have discovered that all the 996's running about the place belong to people who don't spend lots of time at web fora believing all that paranoia - it's just the same with MGFs you know: drop the clutch and the head gasket explodes. And of course one should never buy a car from a seaside owner: not only full of tar, pebbles and seaweed but rusting away as you look at it. No? []
