Had a go with my matey at dropping the front by about an inch on my car today, front struts (Koni MO30) are only a couple of years old and have not seen a lot of bad weather they still look like new, we had an epic battle with the locknut which in the end saw us with metre long extensions to the C Spanners, copious amounts of lube and some swearing.
Eventually freed it off and run it up and down the threads a couple of times with some anti seize paste, the spring seat will not budge.
Not wanting to put too much force in there, any tips.....Heat ?
