I am ashamed to ask this but I am an ignorant RSLer after all so here goes....

What were the differences between the 964 NGT and Cup aside from the wheels and scuttle kill switch?

Tried to find this on t'internet and failed...got lots of info on various D cup products tho...
Thanks,
Kevin

Actually lots of little differences - start here http://carrerars.wordpress.com/2010/03/01/comparison-charts/
Much more in update of 15 year book later this year.

Great link, Tony!

Lots of differences, especially the early Cups (pre 92 and even more the 90 Cups) vary from the RS. Mirrors, door cards, suspensions, exhaust, seat(s), ECU place, heater,...

Looking forward to the book update, would be good to have a detailed list of all the differences. Anoraks out!

There were two generation 964 Cup Cars earlier ones built on C2 Chassis later generation built from the 964RS Chassis thus the 964RS Homolagation (NGT) 1000 minimum cars ... the cages are the same BUT the foot of the welds are different, think the Cup has an angled weld and the NGT a square finish ... real anorak stuff!

Lots of subtle stuff, I'd love to see a complete list too. Engine mounts differed of course for example NGT used RS ones, Cup had solid mounts. Popular upgrade on NGTs

Thanks Hacki,
Des, RS ones were solid - rubber,

One I only just found out, Steering wheels Cup 1 360mm but std thickness, RS 360mm thicker rim, series 2 Cups sporty momo(?). What was standard in an NGT?

The list goes on there were even variations within - In particular with early Cup cars. Look at the hole for the engine lid catch on 9m's cup car, 3.2 Carrera style whereas most are std C2.

I think they did it on purpose just to confuse [:D]
