New year dinner

Never, I am in fact a east Anglian, but I consider my self an adopted northerner. At least Daniel is a genuine Yorkshire man, he could play cricket (Geoffrey Boycott impression) for Yorkshire if he was bothered.

Many thanks to Mark & Carol for organising a great night out. Loved the walk, the food and socialising with great people.

A very enjoyable night with great company and good food, many thanks to Carol & Mark for organising everything.

Even though we are lifelong Yorkies, still managed to find a few new things about our city on the walk!

Lovely to see everyone,

Tony & Linda

Well it's Sunday evening and we are back from York and have just thawed out after the walk. Had a great time and the meal was spot on and excellent value. Don't envy Mark and Carol sorting out the bill at the end though with cash and credit cards flying about all over.
Managed a nice brekky in the hotel this morning which floated on top of the San Miguel and red wine nicely.

Thanks to Mark and Carol for an excellent well organised evening. Now looking forward to the 2014 season starting in earnest.

Hi all.

Thanks to Mark and Carol for organising the New year dinner. A great choice of restaurant.
Great food and company too. We are so blessed to have so many lovely people
In the r7 region.

See you soon.

Sounds like we missed a good evening. However, having spent 40 minutes driving around York City Centre 3 times before finding a car park, only to discover that not only was it cramped and badly lit, but also full, we were so wound up we could think of no alternative but to drive home. We never realised that York was such a traffic - unfriendly City (or so full of p!ss heads)!

So, after 100 mile round trip and 2 and a half hours in the car we ended up eating in our local!

Sorry we missed everybody, especially as we had specifically arranged to meet Graham and Tracy and Martin and Jeanna. Never mind - we'll put it down to experience and look forward to seeing everyone soon.

Ian and Sharon

You missed a good night Ian/Sharon especially as Mark had arranged for free drinks all night (!!)
If you'd have rung us we could have directed you to a nice safe (Porsche-friendly) car park down by the river.
Good food but a rather long wait in between courses.
The restaurant was also a bit cramped and very noisy (unable to hear Jane talking to me - not a bad thing though!)
Yes, Chris, we are also looking forward to some good runs this year assuming we don't get a very late winter.

Thanks again Mark and Carol - great evening
