New Year Classics at the Phoenix, Hartley Wintney

Assuming I can get the 944 started, I will be taking a trundle down to Hartley Wintney with my car club for the traditional New Year's day classic car gathering at the Phoenix Inn. Anyone else going or will I be the sole 944 representative?

Can't join you mate sorry, no suspension, brakes or wheels on the old girl at moment and probably too much falling down juice to drive anyway.

Enjoy your day, Happy New Year and catch up soon

Something of a long haul for you, anyway, Andy. I have the opposite problem. I am not sure the engine will get up to temperature on the way there!

Hope you had a good time Glenn. Only just seen this, and being local, I could have popped along, although the 944 is currently SORNed for a few months, so would have had to bring more modern transport anyway. Nice day for it [8D]!

Indeed it was most entertaining. Lots of interesting cars to look at and the sheer chaos of turning the A30 into a more or less pedestrian zone was novel. What the through traffic thought of cars parked up on both sides of both carriageways of the dual carriageway with people wandering around aimlessly, I have no idea. Only in England!

Hi Glenn, were you in the Red S2? If so I'm the one who came over and talked to you about getting one for a bit :)

Cheers for the heads up on bits, car was looking lovely :)

Don't be hesitant about asking for advice from me or from any of us on the forum. If we can help you in finding a good '44 we will.
