New toy!

After hankering for an older 911 for some time, her Ladyship now has her very own pride and joy. 1996 C2 Targa, manual with aerokit and a loud exhaust! Marble grey leather, Turkish Blue with only 47k miles. Drives beautifully but isn't it small after a 997 turbo?![:D]. Hopefully the value will go north instead of south like mine![&:]

Sorry - my pals had no end of excitement about appearing on telly alongside a turquoise 993 targa - in my excitement I forgot to say congratulations and enjoy the car.

I see the registration plates and spoilers are different now too - it was the wheels / colour / model that caught my eye!

Hi Rob, no it's not that car! We were told the "aerokit" was fitted from new by PC Nottingham along with the noisy exhaust. However, that was 18 years ago so it's quite possible the truth has been massaged a bit! Madame is extremely happy with her new"babe" and is having to learn what driving a "real" car is like all over again. It's presently with PC Exeter for a thorough going over. So far nothing serious - just the bits and bobs you might expect from a car of that age. Oh, should have mentioned, it has a walnut dash and walnut/leather steering wheel - very period![:D]. Any thoughts on a short shifter anyone?

Hi - I have a manual C2 (non-Targa) of the same era, that looks exactly like yours (without the wooden dash and steering wheel it has to be said!) with Targa wheels fitted. Interestingly, my car also latterly spent time in the care of PC Nottingham - although my research suggests that the bodykit was fitted when the car first came into the UK via OPC Liverpool (as it was then). If you canlet me have a private email address, I would be happy to send you some pictures of my car.

Hi John, e-mail sent. Indeed, we were given the same story of the bodykit fitted by PC from new.

Those wheels will keep your OCD alive and well, Alan [:D]

Terrific looking car and her ladyship is right to be proud of it.

Great minds think alike, they're coming to prep the new Cayenne just after Christmas, so that's SWMBO sorted too!

Is that the famous TV car?

Enjoy!
The spoiler is a "˜Techart' aftermarket one, I believe, Andy[:)]

The car has the Aerokit 1B either as option or installed afterwards.

The parts of that aerokit were indeed made by Techart for Porsche.

So, the toy has just been off for a full detail and Gtechniq treatment at Revolution Detailing near Bristol. Once again Adam has done a cracking job[:)] Some gratuitous photos......

Love the last shot, shows off the best features from that angle. Bet Adam enjoyed working the rare beast.
