Thanks for comming along (and for using the forum [
I'll put you & Mrs Joel on the bowling list.
I have seen some spy shots of the 997 on the web, but I can't remember where. If I find them I'll let you know. From what I have seen it is, without doubt, a 911 in the style of 996 meets 993. Is this a step backwards?
It was good to see you and the 5 other new members attending for the first time. I thank you and the other members for your enthusiasm, which helps make our one of the most dynamic regions. I was also extremely pleased that you were able to shed some light on BBC's Top Gear and I advise that we have applied for tickets for members - date to be notified.

The meetings are at the Regiment Way Golf Centre just of the A12 at Chelmsford on the 2nd Tuesday of every month. If you come back down the A13 to Sadlers Hall Farm roundabout then you'll have the pleasure of belting down the new road to Chelmsford. The map of how to get there is on the PCGB website under the Regions section.
Good to hear from you.
As Graham said, meetings are at:-
The Regiment Way Golf Centre
Back Lane/Pratts Farm Lane
Off Essex Regiment Way
Nr. Little Waltham
Essex Regiment Way is the A130 between Chelmsford & Great Dunmow.
51.779N 0.484E
Hope this helps.
As far as the Top Gear event goes, as I understand, we are still waiting to hear so you may not have missed your chance. We will still hold you to your promise of comming to every meeting though. [
can you tell me if there will be any Top Gear tickets spare
Hi Dawn,
I have applied for Top Gear tickets but I am still waiting for the Applause Store (who organise the tickets) to contact me with confirmation of dates and numbers, so I'll make sure you and your husband are added to the list. Confirmation of the dates for the shows are promised soon, so hopefully I will be able to update everyone shortly.
Mark.

If i'm wrong, I apologise now and look forward to meeting you properly in the flesh at the next meeting.
However, if you are the chap i'm thinking of, you might remember me as the daft bint who looked at your 911 in horror thinking someone had put a big scratch in on the bonnet. Once you'd recovered from bursting a lung laughing you told me that it was actually a plastic guard to protect the paintwork!!!
Oh the shame!!!

Oh how un gallant. I would have scratched the bonnet to demonstrate the difference. [

Looking forward to seeing you at one of the next monthly meetings. We have a fantastic venue and Martyn, our RO, is doing a great job. Mind you, we haven't yet managed to attend as many meetings as we would have liked to but we are working on it.
Sorry to hear about your slight mishap but I'm sure it can be fixed soon-ish.
The guys at Autostrasse in Coggeshall (Alan and Keith) are our trusted independents when it comes to the annual service, minor repairs, MOT, etc. and if there's bodywork involved Steve at Clark & Carter in Cressing is our man. He may not be the cheapest but his work is outstanding. The vast quantity of precious metal (lots of vintage Rolls Royce and Bentleys and of course the odd Porsche) around his workshop speaks for itself.
Enjoy your 993 [8D]
cheers,
Kristina
