New Kid on the Block from Lotus

There was one at both Yorkshire PCGB events Andrew. Certainly a design that attracts attention, standing out amongst all the Porsches, and for the right reasons. It looked great.

With the possible exception of the GT cars in bright colours, most Porsche models appear understated compared to other sports marques these days. It is of course a personal view as to whether that is a good thing or not.

I test drove an auto V6 version a couple of weeks ago. The ride on Touring suspension was harsh with poor compliance, the brakes were grabby but progressive past the initial bite, noise great, engine very responsive, road test so cornering flat except for bumps which threw it off line, 3/4 rear visibility even worse than a Cayman. Luggage space poor and my back would not sustain loading luggage behind seats. Seats very comfortable but in leather so a bit slippery. Instruments and controls nice but maybe there is something about having too many buttons and menus.

I think it is a really nice looking car, but not practical for the amount of stuff I carry around and the ride would annoy me.
