New Exhaust?

Just had a new OEM exhaust put on which was from eBay a guy bought it never put it on and sat in his garage for a long time. I also got the Hayward and Scott 1 inch pipes and my fitter welded those on.

When starting the car I can definetly hear the note has changed. Reving initially sounded not much different but noticed today was sounding more like the videos I heard on YouTube. On accelaration not quite sure as yet. Is there such a thing that new exhausts need some bed in time or sound better overtime?

Bizzarre I know, little pleasures :)
