New Cayman Tyre Pressures

Finally got to drive my new Cayman. Loved it, but felt it was a harder ride on the 18" wheels than I expected, but then I was used to an SLK...........
After scanning the forums, eventually got to checking the tyre pressures and found they were all at over 3 bar, instead of 2/2.2 bar. The improvement in ride is very marked, but I have to admit to being a bit disappointed with the OPCs' preparation. Is there anything else I ought to check?
