New Cayman S Today :-)

I picked up my new Cayman S today from Porsche Leicester.

Absolutely fantastic. Don't think I've ever felt so 'connected' with any car - ever. It's as if I've been driving it forever. [:)] The traction and balance through the twisties feels totally unshakeable although I realise it must shake lose at some point [;)]

I can't wait to get to know it properly. Driving the 10 mile journey home tonight after work put the most enormous Cheshire cat of a grin right across my chops [:)] I just had to take the long way home.

Got the weekend now to play and to polish.

Anyone have and do's or don'ts in terms of advice for a newbie?

Excellent indeed. I bought mine on Saturday (2.7 not S) and driving it back from Colchester for 2.5 hours was amazing. It does handle so good and even when I am stuck in traffic I dont mind anymore (I am pretty sure that feeling will disappear) . Unfortunately I am dont have any advise but nice car :) Mario
 
Paul Love the turbo wheels and black(?) combo. Really suits the car. Ditto Dylan's advice, I learnt more about the 911 with a half day's instruction than you'd ever get from driving on the public roads.
 
Thanks Fellas ... I think I'll take your advice and get some instruction on a track. [:)] So enjoying the car and really surprised by how quick it is and even more by how it goes around corners. I've bottled long before the car gets anywhere near it's limits! I had a Honda Blackbird behind me tonight as I took the twisty road route home. Thought I'd be able to fend him off with the corners but he was just playing with me and was gone on the first decent straight! I suspect with some instruction I could have gone a lot quicker but I'm happy building my confidence slowly and getting to know the car. Really don't want to put it in the hedge [:)] And the soundtrack ..... utter magic ..... when can I go out again [8D] Paul
