Hi, New 944 S2 owner here!

Picked her up yesterday for a very good price as there are a few minor niggles, although engine and bodywork are perfect.

I has a PCGB in the windscreen so wondered if anyone recognised it?

Nice car mate. It's good to see that byouwent straight out and bought an S2 . It's the best model of 944 you can get.Enjoy her and treat her nice she deserves it.

Thanks :) and i will do! Just got a few jobs to do (the reason I got it cheap) - Replace steering UJ (just purchased) and have it tracked. - Needs a new speed sensor on the gearbox (quoted £25 and waiting to hear back from breaker)

Welcome to the wonderful (usually !) world of 944 ownership ! Nice looking example, not one I personally recognise however.

Not a car I know, where was it from? Looks very nice, and the PCGB stickers do add significant value. Be warned, they self-destruct if you let your membership lapse, though. [:D][:D]

Thanks, paint is immaculate and so is the engine - runs superb! Just a few minor niggles, mainly the steering CV joints (replacement ordered ) and the gearstick is very floppy (new gearstick lever ordered). So hopefully by the weekend she'll be nearly perfect! Car was from North East london area - E18.

Nice car . before you go out and enjoy it get the cam chain and tensioner, and belts checked. Not wanting to worry you but better to get it done as soon as. Unless service history tells you they have been done recently.

Thanks, Belts have been done recently.. but nothing mentioned about the cam chain. I'll get one ordered!

That certainly is a nice Turbo-lookalike. Spend a few quid making it perfect, then go out there and enjoy it.

Congrates on your purchase, the S2 is a great little car, equally at home on the motorway or twisty B roads, also a very usable daily runner. As said get chain checked by indie and service if not done recently, these cars are bullet proof if well looked after... Enjoy! Edd

ORIGINAL: The Game Great looking car Nick, you've bought it just in time for winter. [&:]
Haha thats what everyone is telling me! Just getting my to-do list together for this weekend. Install new steering UJ Install new engine mounts Install new front and rear gearbox linkage Replace broken temp sensor grill on dash. Install cam chain tensioner slippers

Looks lovely Nick, and all the red car owners will tell you it's the fastest colour [;)] Welcome on board

That is very true Paul.. My PCGB sticker started to melt in the corners and when I renewed it was perfect again ! The 944 Register register sticker however stayed mint. The register sticker is pride of place on my car [:D] Welcome aboard Nick.. I love red in a 944... ! Happy motoring in her....! There are a few reported cam chain failures so get it checked at least to be on the safe side ! Dont worry about driving in the winter.. As long as you use it plenty and keep it fairly clean in the sills and wings areas then the car will be fine... A good look underneath in spring and any nasties that are starting can be dealt with ! I have come up with a new plan with mine ... When it rains, out I go and drive it.. This keeps the water from lying in places and rotting.. Dont leave it outside for extended periods.. If it has to go outside then cover it.. Red will turn pink very easily.. My advice is to go and enjoy it..... ! [;)]

There was a fellow from that area on here - Jason - and I think he had a red S2. I met him a couple of times, and we drove to a meet in Essex together. I don't recognise the numberplate (I'm not even 100% about the colour) so it may well not be Jason's old car ... but it's possible. Oli.
