Mystery Plug ???????

Ok guys.......

I need a good answer here.


I have a plug hanging from the loom in the engine compartment next to the alternator.It is on the loom that runs along the chassis leg and it has a long thin white plug on it with what looks like a single spade connector inside. It has two wires going to it one is red with a yellow stripe and the other is black with a white stripe.

I've looked all over the place and I can't find anything missing ( although the tacho doesn't work I don't think it is anything to do with that)

Sorry should have said it's an 89 S2.

yes I have no air con.

thanks it been driving me mad trying to find where it went.
