My Turbo for sale - SOLD

Sorry to hear you're letting it go, few cars are this pampered so I'm sure someone will be getting a very special car.

I've explained my reasoning and given details of the car here:

...but suffice to say I'm absolutely gutted [:(][:(][:(]

I've built what I believe is a car which offers the best of both worlds - extremely capable track performance with perfectly acceptable road manners. And too this day I'm sure I haven't seen a better looking 944 (but then I might be a little biased?!).

Boo hoo

Love the 924 turbo badge panel :) Infact, I've always loved the 924 turbo badge panel and have been thinking about the mod for a while but not found the part or missed out on it!

Thanks Peter. Didn't think I'd be so emotional about it but having spent a good deal of time preparing it for sale, I really am gutted. Took my first interested customer out for a test drive this afternoon and he was so impressed - it's easy to get all blase about these cars when you're so used to them, but they truely handle so well.

...to nice young chap who I am sure will look after it. Will point him in this direction and keep an eye out for him.

Sorry it had to go but it is quite encouraging for a "good" car to sell for a decent price - based on your asking price anyway - and fairly quickly. I was a bit disappointed that Sc0tty's S2 seemed harder to shift although 4.5 for a good S2 is perhaps only a little light? You'd hope for a bit more maybe? Gives people an idea of what will sell and for what at the better end.

Scotty sold his S2??? I must have missed that, has he replaced it with anything? Congrats on the sale Ben, i'm sure you'll be back with something even more special sooner or later

The sills had signs of rust - making it quite a good price to achieve... Of course: a good clean car which needs sills will always be a better bet than a car needing trim, paint and mechanical work but with supposedly 'good' sills.

Ah then you missed a typical sc0tty thread on TIPEC which has now been deleted. There are a few comments about it in the middle of the "I may be some time" thread on here.

Thanks Jon, can't say I'll miss his, err, valued input on here, but doubtless it'll be a little less exciting round here at times (and I didn't see what all the fuss was about his car, not the prettiest example I've seen and I think he should have been glad to see 4.5k for it).
