My First 911

Not sure if this is of interest to anyone, but I've just been turfing out some old files from the shed today and came upon this invoice, which was for my very first Porsche 911.

It was a Bronze Metallic SC with Berber upholstery and a whale tail rear spoiler. Unfortunately, I've yet to find a photo of the beast but if I do, I'll post it up. It followed on from the first Porsche I ever bought - a 924 Turbo.
I've had 12 new 911's since then, but I still regard this, my first, as being one of the finest and look back upon it with much fondness.
How someone living in North Devon came to be buying a new Porsche from Norwich is another story I would be pleased to expand upon if anyone is curious.
Regards,
Clive

Thanks for sharing and yes would be great if you can find a picture of it...
The 'car tax'' is quite eye watering !!!

That's really interesting. Adjusted for inflation that would be approximately £59500 today so if it were in excellent condition you'd probably get your money back. An expensive car then but not as expensive as a new 911 today but not far off a Cayman GTS 4.0. Was the reg BOO 845Y. If so I have done a DVLA check and can't find the car. Hopefully you'll find a photo.

Searching through the family archives today, I discovered this photo:-

[FONT=verdana, geneva"][FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"][FONT=verdana, geneva"]I think it's still running - it's BOD 845Y. Maybe it is owned by someone in the Club? [;)] [FONT=verdana, geneva"][FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"][FONT=verdana, geneva"]BTW It is described in the invoice as being "pewter" colour but that must be incorrect as that would have be a silver colour, surely?. As you can see it was definitely Bronze metallic.[FONT=verdana, geneva"][FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"][FONT=verdana, geneva"]Interestingly, my previous 924 Turbo LOD 577W appears still to be running too, although it seems it is now red. It was 2-tone blue/silver when I owned it.[FONT=verdana, geneva"][FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"][FONT=verdana, geneva"]Regards,[FONT=verdana, geneva"][FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"][FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"][FONT=verdana, geneva"]Clive[FONT=verdana, geneva"]
