Always a good feeling, can you see the cheerful stance of my turbo? LOL

One question however, I passed with no advisories but checking the paperwork when I got him just now I see it failed the emission test with 3.75% CO (max limit 3.5%) then there's a second emission test with it passing at 2.7%.

They made no mention about this or charge - I'm certainly not complaining but curious as to what they must have done to get the percentage down, or maybe they just re-tested and it happened to be lower the second time?

Answers on a postcard......[:D]

Nice one Andy, good for another year [8D] Re: emissions, normally if that is all the fail is, they will give it a couple of minutes at high revs and then re test for you.

I always set off for an MOT 45 mins early and give the car an "Italian tune-up" taking the scenic route to the garage, never had an emissions problem yet (touch wood).

AS has been said, hot engines produce much lower emissions than cold ones. If it was cold and your tester realised this was why it was high then he was decent enough to warm it up and re-test. (Which is kind of him - some would just fail it.) Oli.

Was decent of him for sure. It was done at the place (Tanvic in Corby) we use for our work fleet. Only £30 too which is even better! [:)] (Special work rate)

It's fitted with Pirelli 'ditch-finders' so he wouldn't have worn the tyres out - they're just too hard! [:D]
