No doubt some of you will think I have a screw loose, but recently I have started using sport mode all the time. My car came with sport suspension, so switching to sport mode does not make the suspension any firmer (than it already is [
]).

It took me a little while to master driving the car smoothly again, but now that I've got the hang of the sharpened throttle response, the interesting thing I found about sport mode is that in addition to the luxury of increased torque (or illusion thereof ?) my fuel consumption has improved by over 10% in city driving. And I don't hang about.

I suspect that it has a lot to do with being more gentle with the throttle, but either way the difference is significant.
