Wednesday 18th October – Monthly meeting – Noggin & Natter night to discuss 2024 events including a WOTY, Classic Car Shows, Drives & Lunches etc., Any offers to arrange future events would be appreciated
Christmas/New Year Get Together - Any interest in a lunch between Christmas and New Year or early January? Please e-mail me if you are interested, and for when. I have had some interest in having an informal lunch, probably just after New Year. Please e-mail me if you are interested, and when would suit you.
Also, Judy is organising the sale of a collection of Matchbox ‘Models of the Year’ of both cars and commercial vehicles. These are all boxed and in mint condition. Attractive prices so please bring cash.

R18 2024 Calendars
To date I have had only 6 requests for calendars. We had about 45 entries for the competition and I would hope that at least those that submitted entries would want a calendar. The more that we order the cheaper the price. Approximate prices were quoted in my last newsletter. I would hope to be able to place the order within the next 2 weeks, so we can have them to distribute at our December Monthly Meeting.

Sunday 5th November – Cars & Coffee – Charity Fam, Wrightington. Please check its Facebook page to see if it is running in case we have heavy rain. There a is ample hard standing available. Arrive by 8.30

Sunday 12th November – Classics at the Mill St Catherine’s Hospice– Cars & Coffee. The event on 8th October was packed to capacity, and both car parks were full. We even had around 25 Porsches there, as well as a varied selection of Sports & Classic Cars. If you want breakfast there you need to book directly with the Mill. Arrive by 9.00 latest

Sunday 29th October - Visit to Bancroft Mill, Barnoldswick

We have arranged a tour of this facility to include an inspection of the working steam engine which previously powered over 1000 weaving looms from 1920-1978. This day is one of it’s ‘Steaming Days’ when you can see the mill in action and powered by steam.
A pub lunch at The Old Stone Trough in Kelbrook is planned following the museum visit.
