Lot of cars up for sale at the moment it seems. Dick Lovett's now have two Midnight Blue cars, one at £260k, another at £280k. That's the highest price for an RS I can recall seeing.

What a difference a day makes..........£300k one here http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/porsche/911-993/porsche-993-rs-lhd--19k-kms--superb-condition/3616502

Agree quite a few cars appear to be coming to the market.... it's easy to cry "it's getting near the top!"...Having said that..

We have changes to pension access in April, Essen , low interest rates, high stock markets and the ECB just starting to pump € into the system for the next couple of years (almost), add in favourable UK tax treatment on second hand cars, they are cheap to 2.7RS etc..,, it's hard to not see a few get snapped up.

I may well test the water with mine soon, due to lack of use! [:)]

Sold mine for £350k

LHD car was offered a few weeks ago at £330k and made just shy of £300k. Very low miles / km, speed yellow, big wings. Ex Japan I think. Supply from Japan feels like it has slowed down a little. Big currency swings and market catching up with euro cars.

Time to start shopping closer to home for cars now with euro 1.34+++

Trillion euros worth of QE so could be a few extra euros finding their way into air cooled metal???

Makes the 964RS in all it's guises a complete bargain .... We have seen this before the 993RS leap ahead and 964RS catches up to within 20% for a like for like car .... My ultimate prediction is both reaching parity and the 64 being the more sought after for the purist, which is not the fund manager[;)]

If 964 was built in same numbers that may have happened sooner ???

Last of the upright headlights etc

But 993 is the last of air cooled.

Agent orange junior just bought a 964 recently and he was smiling more after a short road blast than he did in a longer drive in the 993.

Numbers are relatively narrow, last for some reason is not best, think the 2,7RS is testimony and similar numbers .... You certainly known you have driven a 64RS, it's hard work in a nice way .... German dentists need not apply[:D]

Ask any well known Race Driver

Des, what happened?

When did you get so bearish on the ubiquitous 964RS, to be within 20% of a 993RS and ultimately at parity?

In terms of valuation I think they will always be behind a 993RS, you know, just like on a trackday! [:D]

(my memory is still good!)

You know I am ultimately always right ..... The fund managers and collectors should drive them back to back as opposed move them on trailers[;)]

agent orange junior now found his voice!!!

the short burst took my breath away....can't wait to have another go!
