Hi All

Just an early reminder about the next monthly meeting at Garstang Golf Club on Wednesday 19th March. Peter Cook, PCGB Archivist and Sportomatic Register Secretary is coming up from the Cotswold area to tell us about the extensive archive held at Cornbury House. He will be bringing along some early Porsche racing footage as well.

Also on this evening we will be making the draw for the winner of the Free Detailing offer by Off Your Marks Detailing of Liverpool. As you will know Mathew Wakefield from Off Your Marks, has donated this valuable prize, worth several hundreds of pounds , with the raffle proceeds going to Chorley childrens Charity Rainbow House. Jo Mawdesley from Rainbow House came along to February's monthly meeting to tell us all about Rainbow House, which caters for children with rare diseases, as well as cerebral palsy. See www.rainbow-house.com for more information.

Note: - We will be attending Rainbow House Fun Day on 14th September

Tickets are £5.00 each. Please send cheque made payable to PCGB to Sue MacLeod, 6 All Saints Road, Thornton Cleveleys, FY5 3AL, Tel 01253 592755 ASAP, (NOT to ME) or come along early on the night with your cash.

The winning car will be required a few days before the event on 30th March, to allow Mathew to work on it and put the finishing touches to it on the 30th.

We may be meeting up at Charnock Richards Services, M6, on the morning of the 30th and travel in convoy. Sue & Mac Macleod are organising this.

David,
I now find I can't make it on the 19th March as we will be at our cottage on the IOM(have to arrange cleaner for the new season). Also won't be able to go on the 30th as it is the only free day we have to go up to see our daughter(although that might change).
If I was lucky enough to win(which I'm not) then the car could be there;it's only 20mins from home.
Incidentally, whilst the address gives Liverpool, the location is actually in Bootle, just off the main road that runs parallel to the docks. You get there directly from the M58 or M57 by following the dual carriageway from switch island(where both motorways feed) down to the docks bearing left at the end roundabout onto the dual carriageway towards Liverpool from the Seaforth flyover. Two sets of traffic lights then you can bear off left into the estate.
Regards,
Colin.[:)]

Shame peter cook can't bring Dudley Moore as the 'tap, tap, tap on the window' sketch was always a favourite....[;)][:D]

Zeb,
Sorry, that is lost on me;now if it was the one legged man sketch(a bit unpolitical,I know)![8|]

Its the one where they are drinking in the puband dudley moore just cant stop laughing if that helps

Zeb,
A coincidence, maybe, but that sketch was briefly featured ,last night on the telly so now I know, but I still don't see the relevance, sorry![&o]

Colin it was just making light of the name (peter cook) as opposed to any particular sketch . That sketch just happens to be my favourite pete'n' dud piece. Hope that helps...[;)]

Perhaps I could help you out with that one Colin. I'll bring a tenon saw and some band-aid plasters for you. [;)][:)] If we use anesthetic then you may forget your lines so you will have to bite on a stick, I'll bring that as well.

Cheers,
