Modifying 911s '“ info sought

Hi

I'm researching for a magazine feature on Tuning & Improving the 911.

Could any of you out there offer me some advice on what does and doesn't work, plus how you get the best 'bang for your buck'? I'm looking at all areas "" performance, handling, brakes, etc, etc, plus anything, however simple, that improves a 911 in any way.

If nothing else this should provoke some healthy debate on here, which I can sift through!

I'm also looking for a suitable car to photograph to illustrate the feature. Time and cost means I'd really rather find one within 50 miles of Peterborough/Bourne. Any offers?

I'm glad you've posted this request in the 'general' section as well . . . as this forum is for the pre 1974 911's . . . . . which do get modified a far bit mind you.

Are you looking at early cars or later models?

Presume you've seen Bruce Anderson's '911 Performance Handbook' and the recently published 'Porsche 911 Performace' by Mitchell Sam Rossi?

I think you are going to struggle tp get a single, presumably relatively short, and worthwhile article together (given the wealth of info and options, etc).
