Hapy New Year everyone,
Just a quick top tip. Have you tried a German company called Mittelmotor for any of your parts requirements? I used them extensively when I lived in Germany and was never let down. They started out as 914 specialists, hence the name (mid engine) and have gradually extended their expertise to cover nearly all models, but mostly the older ones. They have a very good web site (www.mittelmotor.de) which can be used in German or English and their 911 parts catalogue is exceptional, have a look at it. The staff speak excellent technical English and are always happy to help. I dealt with the boss, Michael Wittke, the foreman Ingo Menne and one of the parts men Lars Brandt, all of whom are great blokes and very knowledgeable. Michael has a beautiful 72 911E with a later 3.8 engine and uprated brakes/drivetrain, it looks very standard from the outside! If you ever visit the Techno Classica in Essen they always have a stand and if you are in the area they are based in Bochum, quite close to Essen, pop in and see them they make great coffee.
Give them a go
Good luck
