Hope you saw the James Martin programme over xmas, I thought it was excellent. I would love to arrange a family holiday linked to the Mille Miglia, have you found any useful details such as dates etc?

Saw programme - if he had kept his revs down to the limit his engine builder specified he might have been okay. Who takes a car fresh from engine rebuild on an event like this without bedding it in properly ? Must be nice to have that sort of disposable income but he has worked hard for it.
9- 15 May this year. Have booked hotel room in Brescia already in case I finally pluck up courage to do this - can cancel up to 1600 on day of arrival so no risk - the drive down appeals almost as much as the event and am looking at appropriate stopping places to allow for "interesting " drives ( Stelvio pass ? ) on the way.
May come to nothing will depend on how work commitments pan out - incidentally where are you based? I'm nr. Wakefield.

I live in Epworth so I'm a borderline Yorks/Lincs member but I work at Knottingley near you.
Thanks for the date etc, I fully agree ref running in a historic Massa! Hope you get to go down but I can't see me fitting all the family in my 964RS but I would to get there one year!
Regards
Ian
