Following my day out at Millbrook in the 997S (see Alpine Odyssey in PP Feb 06), I have now completed my day in the Cayman. Not having driven my Cayman very hard as yet, I did not know what really to expect. As the 997 day was quite fresh in my memory, it was great to be able to compare both cars 'back to back' and on the performance limits. I have to say that I was enormously impressed with the Cayman. It handled significantly better than 997, but I suspect you will not be surprised. Moreover, my instructor Le Mans winner Richard Atwood was convinced that Cayman circumnavigates the Alpine course quicker that 997S. So don't take my word for it!
