Michelin Pilot Sport 2 N2 vs Pilot Sport 4S Debate

Will be replacing the tyres (all 4) on my 987.1 on 19" Carrara Classics in the coming weeks, currently I am running Pilot Sport 2 N2, I have read various threads and discussions online regarding N spec for a Porsche being the correct road to follow as they have been developed for the cars, however tyre technology moves on and with Sport 4's being the current top of the tree model for 265/35R19 & 235/35R19 sizing are these a better route to go down ?

I have read on some platforms that sidewall is stiffer on N spec and that it is noticeable in handling when changing ? I welcome members feed back on there views both for and against each of the two models on tyres in question in regards to handling, feel, grip etc.

Let the debate begin...

Replaced our 986 Boxster N rated PS2s with standard PS4s and very happy with the PS4s. Difficult to do a like for like comparison as new tyres have more tread and are more supple than older rubber so noticeably better feel.

Tricky. PS4S tyres are highly regarded, BUT Pirelli alter the manufacturing of tyres to suit the manufacturers spec. I used to think the N rating was a con before attending a Pirelli presentation and have now better. Therefore I'd buy an N rated tyre ( and did; Goodyear Eagle F1 tyres).
