MG themed motor racing day out at Castle Combe 8th August

We have the opportunity to use Porsche Centre Reading as a Starting point for an event, to break new ground and begin to form a better relationship with the centre. Having given some thought to finding a replacement for the Bank Holiday Porsche themed meeting, there is a small club racing meeting at Castle Combe on the 8th August, and I would be happy to order tickets. It's a cheapie and as I would like the region to be shown in a good light with lots of attendees I am not going to offer the usual fiver off. The plan would be to meet at the Centre at 08:00 and enjoy the hospitality of the Centre and depart when we are ready for the drive to Castle Combe. This is a great opportunity for new members to step inside the hallowed portals of the flagship centre of Porsche Cars in the UK.
What's on?
The 5th round of the Castle Combe Championships and the 2nd round of the Sports Racing Series. Enjoy a definite MG theme to the day with the MG Trophy, Metro Cup as well as the MGCC BCV8s and Thoroughbred Sports-cars" and probably other support races, or more than one round of the afore mentioned. Ticket prices £15 over 65 £10 Please email me as soon as you can because I need to firm the date up and numbers with Simon Gardiner.

If you just want to come to the centre and not travel on with us that will be fine. I just wanted to add a focus for getting out of bed at 07:00.

Sounds like a great event John, nice work. Unfortunately as things stand I'm due to be at a cricket match that day but if things change I'll let you know.

Cheers

James

John I'll join you at OPC Reading but unfortunately can't make the racing as the outlaws are down! Thanks for organising

John...I'm up for this, please put me on your list.

Used to enjoy our Castle Combe jaunt, pity PCGB no longer have it on their calendar.

Is this still on....I got the impression that if (as it seems) there's only four of us, then we wouldn't be troubling Reading OPC after all??

Many thanks for organising an enjoyable morning at OPC Reading and sorry I couldn't join everyone at CC but hopefully a good day was enjoyed by all.

Perhaps, this could be a regular event (twice a year perhaps), with a chance to have a good look round the new car range and eat lots of bacon butties.

Thanks again to the organisers,

Adam Tindell

John thank you for organising the visit to Reading OPC today; only just managed to warm the GT2 up getting there I'll have to go the long way round next time. Please pass our thanks onto the staff who made us most welcome.
David and Alison
