I'm absolutely gutted to have to part with my 996 turbo. [&o] I absolutely love the car but I'm moving abroad later this year, Singapore import taxes and a seven year tenure make storage / shipping a non starter. I've had the most fabulous year with the car, and taken great pleasure in keeping it in top condition inside and out.

I bought the car last year as a Porsche Approved Vehicle from Aberdeen Porsche Centre. It has a fully documented Porsche Service history has been garaged and kept in top condition.

I'm hopeless with spanners so all the work I have had done is by the OPC at Aberdeen. I have just spent £3000 getting it ready for sale with a
  • Full Porsche Extended Warranty until April 2012,
  • 2 new rear tyres and a major service.
  • It has an Mot until March 2012
  • Ready to drive away with no consumables needed.

I'm a genuine seller with no tricks, I'm just looking for a genuine buyer.

Hi Steve thanks for best wishes, yes price is negotiable, I know I'm at the high end of the market but its good to go with a Fully Transferable Porsche Approved Warranty until April 2012, Major Service just done, MOT, 2 new rears all pads and discs in good shape there is some negotiation on the price. Sorry, I'm sounding like a salesman[X(]

Just wanted to say that I've really enjoyed reading your articles really interesting and informative, clearly enjoying your car. Personally, hopeless with a spanner but a dab hand with microfibre and carnuba wax [:D].

The waxing is all important too! My 996 never comes out of the garage or gets driven dirty, it's much easier to keep clean when I keep on top of it (unlike my daily driver which accumulates untold amounts of dust etc in a weeks worth of commuting!) but then it's easier for me being a weekend / evening car.

I just like doing anything I can so that I get to know the car more (I like to know what I am driving :)) and because I usually try to do that extra bit more than just the basic job of replacing something, that is to say that I tidy up other bits while there. Of course there is the satisfaction and added bonus of saving some cash. I'm hoping I will just keep this 996 now it all depends what happens further down the line, and no one knows for sure, but if finances permit I would love to keep working on this, get this perfect and if I get another later either pass this on to my wife if it's still going well or keep it as a collectors car seeing as it was my first 996 :). Not quite in the same league as yours, but because it was much less I've wrote that cash off already.

Anyway, sorry to hijack your thread - your car looks great, from what I have seen the bottom end of the price bracket is 26k so with a warrantee, good history and being in great condition I don't see why it wouldn't fetch 30 :)
