The Hadley Bowling Green Inn on the Last Tuesday of the Month.

Situated on Hadley Heath, near Ombersley. Post Code is WR9 0AR. This is a well- known country establishment, with a large, good car park and within easy reach and is usually well attended.

Even though it had rained most of the day, we were able to spend most of the time out in the car park on our Tuesday meeting.

David Mould, turned up in a nice white 944S2, having exchanged it for his previous steed. David and Angela Barnes, in contrast, turned up in a Ford Escort "˜Mexico' in astounding , like new condition and gave us a rendering of a very potent induction growl. This aroused the interest of some young enthusiasts who were visiting the pub. David has a 911 R3 race car, still having some bits done to it. One fine day we shall see it. Come and join us at this popular meet.

Shelsley Walsh

Our first event of May was spoiled by our agreement for our display area, being sabotaged by Stratstone having been given our spot, even though I had a letter of agreement. The couldn't care less attitude of the powers that be, means that I shall not go there again. Nevertheless, we made what we could of the day, with a small display line eventually arranged by the good nature of one of the parking officials.
The rest of our cars, parked in the MAC area by other good natured help. See pictures.

Curborough

A summer day dawned, remember those ? We all got sunburned and had a great time. Altogether, we fielded 25 cars, some with two drivers. About one third were Region 13 members.

Morgan Lewis was there with his red Boxster as you will see from the photos'. Rob Croxford, with his 911 Carrera CS, (White lightening) drove round with serious intent. Steve Wade blasted his 911 turbo, followed by Andy Nevitt. With our other Andy (Taylor) in his yellow 964 RS which was also at the Isle of Man a couple of weeks later. Not forgetting Neil Robbie in his Boxster S, who can also be seen in the photo, with Adam Fradgley, spectating at Shelsley Walsh. Chris Fellows with a blue 996 C2 Cabriolet was competing with a similar car from Region 9, the Report of which will show other entries and photos'

We must extend our thanks to Dave Pattison who arranged it all and did stalwart work in demonstration runs, and marshalling in the bottom paddock. Andrew Kenyon, looking after the gate onto the track and keeping everybody in order. Last but not least, to Pam for opening and running the food wagon. We shall be making a donation to the Air Ambulance, which I shall be able to confirm next month. Perhaps we shall do it as group at Cosford.

Manx Tour.

I have written a little article, as an insight to driving a 924 here. See elsewhere.
