Hi all please find a reg article written in late march after oulton, for some reason it keeps getting missed in the post!

"‹993 rs register
Oulton Park 15th rs day

Oulton park was a great success as usual, a vast array of cars on track from a cgt to rsr. What is growing year on is the Porsches in the paddock from onlookers and fellow enthusiasts; great to see the ddk gang drive to the event in truly classic 911,s.
Its good to see the gt and rs cars being driven as intended and not mothballed away, or polished with in a inch of their life! Saying that i only saw one 993rs on track and the 964rs boys showed the way with a good turn out on track. A big pat on the back for those on track and the supporters in the paddock. These days have come on a long way from the early days when myself, Colin(9m) and Melv organised the first day with about a dozen cars, it's now sold out within a week or two.
Look out for the 16th date later in the year, please don't be intimidated about having ago, the day is run safely and professionally with a lot of consideration given to the first timers with plenty of help and advice on hand all day. We always need newcomers to keep it fresh and growing so more than welcome.

Testing times for enthusiasts.
Its a testing time with ownership of these ltd edition cars and values etc, do i sell or keep. The real enthusiasts' seem to be keeping hold of their cars and resisting selling because of the crazy values. The downside of the values is cars being coveted away, never hear from the owners or see the cars out until they want to sell. All i would say is, rs enthusiasts who still own them, hang in there as it will only get better!!
Keep your cars Original
I have seen a few restored cars with glitzy wheels, wrongly coloured plating on fixings etc, these cars will have more value and be of more interest in years to come as original condition. They can be kept in this state with some care and attention, clean the car off every winter and liberally coat in duck oil, thats all they require and avoid the salt.

Althorp and 20 Years of the 993,rs,cup,GT2 and rsr.
Althorp event this year, if we can get some cars in original condition to represent the lightweight /motorsport versions of the 993,i would like at least 3 standard 993rs,3 clubsport, a 993 rsr,993 cup, gt2r and street version, if you have a car and would like to register for the display, please put your name down on the list of the 993rs forum as display cars.

Classics at the castle
This year's theme is carrera, if you can come along and support the event, its a great day out with some truly tasty cars on display and being driven up the hill, its a day not to miss.
