We have some events in March that may be of interest.

Sunday 1st March

Supercars of Scarisbrick” - Breakfast Meeting - Tour De Franks, Ringtail Road, Burscough, near Ormskirk, L40 8JY.


I have not been to this event before but have heard good reports.

100th Anniversary of Sir Henry Seagrave setting world Land Speed Record on Ainsdale Sands 16th March 1926



There are three events taking place on Saturday 14th Match, Sunday 15th and Monday 16th March.

On the Saturday evening, there is a Gala dinner
– The Segrave 100th Anniversary Charity Dinner at the Waterfront Hotel, Southport. Tickets are £95/head for a 4-course gourmet meal and £750 for a table of 8 guests. Guests of Honour are The High Sheriff of Merseyside, Mr Billy Hui and Wing Commander Andy Green OBE - the world land speed record holder ! There are still places available if any members are interested. It is a black-tie event.


On Sunday there is The Segrave 100 Concours – King’s Gardens, Promenade, Southport. Entry Fee only £25 per car. This is for pre-1986 cars only (free if also attending the dinner)

On Monday, The Segrave 100 World Land Speed Record Celebration – Ainsdale Beach, Promenade, Ainsdale, Southport. Entry Fee £100 per vehicle. This is for pre-1950 cars only.
