There's the suggestion of a run from Glasgow to Fort Augustus for lunch on Saturday 12th March, more details will be here:
http://www.porschaforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3844

but if anyone wants to come you can let me know here and I'll make sure to post the details. Also a meal is being arranged for the evening, so if anyone wants to join that then let me know.

Excellent Graeme - current plans are to meet at the Rotunda at 9.30am - let me know if you need more info, or a different meeting place.

So tempting.[8D]

And so frustrating to be busy down South on the Friday before. []

Mind you, being a sassenach I probably wouldn't understand a word any of you said [;)]

Sadly duty calls on the 12th and I wont be able to make Fort Augustus. But whilst you are all up in my neck of the woods I can recommend a wee northward extension of your tour- Going to inverness along the Southside of Loch Ness, which is an entertaining road and then completing a loop back to Fort Augustus via the main road on the North side of Loch Ness, or alternatively down the A9 to Dalwhinnie and cut across to Spean Bridge ( the road on which Iain Banks came to grief in his 911 I believe). Whatever, have an excellent day - wish I could be there.

Thanks Andy, but I think the general consensus was that Fort Augustus was a bit too far (big girls!!), so probably just up to glencoe and back - but we will basically go with the consensus on the day...

Probably easier for me to meet near Cameron House/Balloch, what time do you think you will be there; 10:15 ?

Any idea where we are going for lunch?

Graeme

Graeme - we'll arrange to stop and pick you up at duck bay if you want at about 10.15....lunch is up to everyone involved - see what the weather is like and how far we want to drive...we've done Glen Coe a few times, so maybe there....I'll drop you my mobile number before we go so we make sure we don't miss you.

The arrangements for next saturday are:

9.30am - people from Glasgow area to meet at the Rotunda (just beside SECC).
10.15am - stop to meet a couple of people at Duck Bay on the shores of loch lomond.

After that up the A82 - route and distance to be decided by weather and participants. Possibly Glen Coe, possibly Inverary.

If anyone else intends to come along can you let me know, and where you would meet us - don't want to leave you behind.

After all the talk of "private runs" last time, why don't some of you put some actions behind yer whine :ROFLMAO:

greg,

would have liked to go,, but babs working sat morning,, if its sunny, morning,, might pop to rotunda to see yir gt3,,,, not seen it yet !

you would have loved oulton !!!!!

ciao
scottie.

No probs scott, wouldn't bother with the rotunda though as we won't be stopping for long - just imagine gordon's car, but a better colour and the steering wheel on the correct side [;)]

Any idea on the weather, spent 4 hours with the spit and polish, if it's going to be hissing down I'll bring the old Merc (not a dirty word is it ?)

Supposed to be dry & sunny so far as the bbc are telling us....but that could easily change....

Don't you worry gordon, mine will end up on track once I find a new job and have a bit of security (hopefully very soon!)......we'll make it a sunday next time - there was some reason for it being a sat, but can't remember...

I would like to join you at the Duck Bay if that's Ok.?
The route you've suggested is on my list of must drives given the chance. Therefore I can't miss it.
Weather is looking a bit dodgy though.
Must get the top down though.
