Making door cards for an S2

Hi All,
I'm thinking of making new door cards for my S2 out of fibreglass. Has anyone attempted this before?

I plan to move the window switches to the centre consul and remove the speaker. The door handle will stay and the door close handle will be a leather strap.

I've done exactly that with my carbon cards.

The EMC ones come from Club Auto Sport so buy them direct and save circa 20%. The FG ones are £60 plus VAT each.
 
A friend of mine made this kind of panels several years ago. cardboard was replaced by fibreglass made door card with leather upper part and Porsche script fabric lower part. Also leather strap with 964 RS plastic part was added.
