M030

I'm in the process of collecting M030 parts for a future project. So far i've got the anti-roll bars and understand that to do the full job I need the front struts, front hub/spindle assembly, 928S4 clipers and disks, rear torsion bar and rear shocks. My question is do I also need the 928S4 rear brake calipers and disks and if so rear hub assembly to enable me to mount them?

Cheers.

I think the rear brake callipers have stayed the same right through all 944 Turbos, S2's and 968's, as well as the 928 S4 and possibly even the GTS. I knoW the GTS has some rear pad options the same part number as my 250T anyway.[FONT=verdana, geneva"]

If you are after a pair of M030 front struts ?? I have a pair "spare"..
They are only 5-6000miles old + are in obviously as new condition....
The are ONLY the struts , not including the springs or spring seats etc....
For sale ,,,,,,,,£140 + p+p......

Also if you are strugling to get some M030 hubs + spindles [ Hens teeth].. Then i can sort you out some calliper adapter plates as well for £80.+p+p.....

Let me know if you or anybody else is interested.......
First come first served......

Im having a bit of a clear out......

Dave, I would love to indulge and normally i'd snap your hand off but i've spent a small fortune on the car over the past 6 months and would face severe repercussions from the other half if I were to spend any more at the moment. I'm trying to get her into Porsches and although i'm making slow progress (the dyno day at Weltmister helped alot) I think I would be pushing it!

If I change my mind I'll give you a shout though.

Rear brakes are indeed the same on the turbo and S2 even if they have got M030.

Just had mine M030'd... what a difference!!

What car do you have?
M030 contents will vary with model and year of production.

The option code 'M030' on the sticker on the first page of the service book, or on the sticker inside the load area, between the rear lamps, will provide confirmation.

Thanks for almost instant responses! It's a 1991 S2. doesn't have the option code in the service book/sticker, but I wonder if it's been upgraded. Was advertised as having lowered suspension but I can find no evidence in receipts/history.

90/91 S2 with M030 should have the same 7.5" front and 9" rear D90 wheels and brakes as the 90/91 turbo.
Check for wheel width and offset around the valve.

You've probably just got some lowering springs fitted.

M030 struts are yellow, made by Koni and have an adjustable lower spring perch so you can raise/lower the ride height. They also have a plastic tab at the top of the strut to adjust the rebound. Pictures here:
